Daniel Perez Coronel

(Mexican , b. 1984 )

http://danielperezcoronel.com/ Daniel graduated from La Esmeralda art school. His work is focused on the senses and a limited color and texture range, inviting to explore how simplicity can be the greatest strength in an idea. Part of his artistic production has been published in Mexican newspapers and digital magazines. He has participated in more than twenty collective and individual exhibitions in Mexico. In 2016, FONCA sponsored his project "Ave Fénix", from which his work "Flamma" comes from. In this piece, Daniel uses fluorescence as a chemical element, which is scarce on Earth but abundant in the universe. Flamma means radiance in Latin, and this is why the series is named this way, considering painting as a luminous radiance. He cleanly applies efflorescence and makes it stop with textured white area protruding from the canvas and expands subtle but chaotically into the void. "His works leave a light trail would a phoenix apparently do after being reborn from the ashes". Dea Arjona.
